VisionID has been delivering Mobile Computing, Identification and barcoding solutions to industries throughout Ireland from its bases in Clonmel and Limerick for the past 14 years. Their business naturally overlaps with some of Hybrid TP’s solutions from time to time and it was during a recent meeting with Sales Director, Cathal Murtagh, that this product caught my eye.

VisionID created the mobile cart in responding to a customer’s request three years ago when asked for a solution for a full-screen mobile computing system for MES (manufacturing execution system).  The customer was not satisfied with a laptop/tablet solution and other cart solutions on offer were exorbitantly heavy in both weight and cost.

The Mobile Computer Cart offers a wireless connected solution around the factory floor using real-time communication through WIFI on a choice of thin client, touch computer, laptop or full desktop PC all powered from the base battery pack giving seven hours operational time after a full charge. Its the perfect solution for those who operate in multiple function areas in the manufacturing process or inventorying stock in various locations.

There are plans to introduce a WiFi router integrated into the cart and directly powered by a Lithium Ion battery as well as having an operator Pin Login or a biometric login to identify the driver. It can pull up performance reports on the workflow process and the efficiency of the process and operator performance.

All this is backed by a five-year warranty. A very impressive piece of kit with multiple applications for manufacturing, distribution or even datacenter industries.
